Almost Famous

Last week I received something I ordered online. Yes! The one and only, oscar winning, ' Almost Famous', directed by Cameron Crowe. One of my favorite movies of the last past years.

The story is about a young teenage journalist, William. His love for music brings him an assignment for the Rolling Stone magazine. What starts as a simple interview with the band Stillwater, ends up for William in an 'eye-opening' life journey in American Rock. Hidding the road with his favorite band, using the privileges of youth and discovering during his trip, the real value of friends and family in life.

Besides the beautfiul music, it's great to see the friendship of William and the extraordinairy 'band aid' Penny Lane (Kate Hudson) getting intenser.

Good morning Vietnam

This Chinese, Vietnamese or Japanese fat guy is keeping an eye on.......on what? Maybe he don't wanne loose his (not yet) completed Vans sign in front.....? Or is he just watching over the entree of Skatepark Amsterdam, Amsterdam City, where a took these photo's. 好 (= nice, thanks to babel fish)

Taking it for a ride

Last summer I've been to San Sebastian, Spain, to take my first surflessons. But let's talk about the picture, because taking surflessons is another story. This pictures is taking on some random street corner in the centre of San Sebas. Nice BMX, an even better motorbike, an ugly scooter and two good coloured trashcans....I edit the picture a little bid, taking away most bright colours. When I look at it, I'm feeling like I wanna jump on one of them to take it for a ride! Talking about taking a ride, check out this oldschool BMX shortfilm....and just as in one of my earlier posts, this guy is wearing a magnificent outfit as well! And again, the music is genius :) Nice.... real nice!

Art is around the corner

A mobile photo picture again. Love this flyer wall hidden in Germany. Just on the corner, showing us a beautiful collection of movieposters. Can tell you this, it's a hard decision to pick one when you "spreche und verstehe nicht so gut Deutsch", so watching a German movie isn't what you want. However, again, the collection of posters where attractive and explaining to us again....that art is around the corner
